Aaron Judge (32) hit the farthest home run at Target Field since 2022.

New York Yankees' Aaron Judge (32) hit the farthest home run at Target Field since 2022.

Jersey went 4-for-4 with one home run, two doubles, two RBIs, two runs scored and one walk while starting in center field against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday (June 16) at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

In the top of the first inning, Judge led off with a walk and took a 94.7-mile-per-hour fastball from Minnesota right-hander Pablo Lopez over the left-field fence for a leadoff solo home run. It was his 11th home run of the season. It hit 113 mph (181.9 km/h) and traveled 467 feet (142 meters).

Judge's bat didn't cool down after the home run. In the third inning, he led off and hit Lopez's six-seam 93.2 mph (150.0 km/h) sinker hard for a double. He later scored on back-to-back singles by Alex Verdugo and Giancarlo Stanton. After hitting a three-pitch 84.4 mph (135.8 km/h) sweeper from Lopez for another double in the top of the fifth, Judge hit a two-pitch 89.2 mph (143.6 km/h) changeup from left-hander Cody Funderburk for a two-run double in the top of the seventh. Judge drew a walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to reach base for the first time in the game.

The Yankees rode Judge's performance to a 4-0 victory and a three-game winning streak. They are 29-15 with a .659 winning percentage and lead the American League East.

According to MLB.com, "Judge led off the first inning with a mammoth home run for the Yankees. He swung at a first-pitch pitch and sent it straight into the third deck of the outfield bleachers. The ball reached 113 mph and traveled 467 feet, according to Statcast. "It's the longest home run at Target Field since 2022 and the second longest of his 11 home runs this season," said the team, 안전놀이터 highlighting Judge's performance.

In 2022, Judge broke the American League home run record in 157 games (157-for-570) with 62 home runs, 131 RBIs, 133 runs scored, 16 doubles, and a 1.111 OPS, earning him MVP honors. Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers), who was in contention for his second straight MVP award, finished second in MVP voting.

Ohtani, who became the first player in Major League Baseball history to win more than one unanimous MVP award in 2021 and 2023, could have won back-to-back MVPs if not for the jersey.

After his best season in 2022, Judge was eligible for free agency and signed a nine-year, $360 million deal with the Yankees. However, last season, he missed a lot of time due to injury, batting just .267 (98-for-367) with 37 home runs, 75 RBI, 79 runs scored, three doubles, and a 1.019 OPS in 106 games.

In 44 games, he's batting 25-for-51 (41-for-161) with 11 home runs, 29 RBI, 24 runs scored, two doubles, and a .926 OPS, putting him in contention for the home run title. Kyle Tucker (Houston) currently leads the league with 13 home runs, while Judge is tied for sixth in home runs.

Meanwhile, the longest home run to leave Target Field since Statcast was introduced in 2015 is Miguel Sano's 496-foot (151-meter) home run on Sept. 18, 2019, against the White Sox. The farthest home run hit prior to the jersey was Byron Buxton's 469-foot (143-meter) home run on April 25, 2022, against the White Sox.
